Last month of the year...

We are already half into the last month of the year, December.
I started my christmas break from school on Tuesday the 6th, but the time after that has been very busy.
This week I have worked at an Elementary school here in Elverum, and this weekende I`m working at the bowling place.
Together with the girl I share the flat with we have had some preparations for christmas, we made the gingerbread house(pepperkake hus), a calender with a present for each day before christmas eve, tradiotional christmas dinner with the international students and we had Gløgg.

Last year I spend in Victoria, Canada with my relatives, this year I will we at my sister Stina`s house. Looking forward to a norwegian christmas.

One month since last posting on the blogg

Hi everyone..

It really makes me smile when I see that people visit my blog, though I don`t post that often.
Since the last time I have been on a canoe trip with my class and on I`ve been at my family`s cabin for a weekend.

On Sunday I`m going to my sisters house, I`m stying there for 3 weeks. My class is having practicum at different school, I will teach at the High school I went. Excited..

I did it....

So, a couple of weeks a go my sister told me to sign up for a 6K run only for girls.. I was not very ready since I haven`t been working out for this race, but I did it after all.
It was a run out in the terrain, with swampy and slightly uphill.

Busy girl..

Hi you all,
Well, I could have said "you guys" but that reminds me of Dr.T at PLU... If you want to include everyone, you should say "You all".

As I`m wrighting to you I`m at my sister Stina`s house, babysitting Synne, the dog and looking after the house. My sister and her husband is in Berlin this weekend.

Life in Elverum is really busy these days. I`m taking an outdoor class this year as well as orientering and 3 other classes and I`m taking 2 credits in Buddy work and internationalization. In the outdoor class we are going on a 3 day bike trip from Monday, 9 mil (norwegian mil.).
The 2 credit class I`m taking my "job" is to learn about how it is to be an international student at Hedmark University College as well as get to knoe the students an have a lot of fun with them and show them things they want to see.

I now I`m not really good at posting here when I`m not at PLU any moore, but I hop it will get better!!

Last Friday I went on a 34 hour long break with my mom, went to Scandinavias Largest Mall, Alan Jackson Concert and to IKEA.

I moved in with one of my friends on Monday, we are sharing a apartment. And as you can see on the picture we are changing the colour from dark green to lighter.

I know it`s a long time since I`ve posted on the blog.. But, things have been really hectic the last week. I will come back to you again when things have settled a bit here..

A terrible tragedy....

It is with big greif I am posting today!

Yesterday I got the news about the bombing in Oslo when I was at work.. We saw the pictures of the terrible happenings and all the injured people. But little did we know that this was not the end of the tragedy. Just over an hour later the perpetrator came to an island where there was a camp dressed as an police officer. He started shooting young people, and he was cheering when he kild people..
I woke up this morning and the news sad that at least 84 young people died at the camp!!
When I look at the news I get goosebumps.... The name of the guilty one is out in the open, the terrible is that he can`t get more then 21 years in jail!! I`m not after revenge, but he needs to pay for what he have done to the people and to our country.

What happend with the summer??

Hi everyone!

I just need to admit that my blogging this summer is really bad. But then I on the other hand I don`t have a lot to tell you guys... My life this summer is based on mostly working at the Norwegian Road Museum and staying at home at my parents house. I`m really glad it`s only four weeks until I move to Elverum for school.

This upcoming year I `m not only working at the Bowling place but also as a sub at a school and a kindergarten and go to school. I need to have more practicum in schools before I start working and this is perfect.

On a late night hike with friends.

 Every year in my town we have a thing, like a market. We have a car meet with a lot av old american cars and many other things that is going on. This year it was a total of 113 cars. Under here you can see some of the cars I liked.

 For the first time we had a duck race in the rives that flows through the town, we used ducks you use in your bath tub. The 5 first ducks got a price, very funny thing. A total of 500 ducks where in the race.

 On Sunday I was on a new hike up to Kvitfjell with one of my best friends, Jane- Marita. We where really tires after Saturday night out but we just wanted to get some fresh air. A short and perfect hike for that!

Looks like the summer is finally here...

Hi guys!

Well, I just need to admit that I miss Parkland. Belive it or not. And I miss all the wonderful people I got to meet.
To be back here in the small town is kind of boring, nothing to do. I use the time these days to work at the Norwegian Road Museum in Øyer. Really like the job and the people I work with. One of the places I work at is in a store from the 1950`s in Norway. The store was placed on Vigra an island not far from Ålesund. The house was build up in the outdoor museum`s area in 1997, and the things we sell is things that could have been things from that time.

The two top shelves is a display with stuff that people used on that time.

My cousin Trude`s confirmation!

A week ago my 15 year old cousin Trude, had here confirmation. I had the pleasure to be invited, and to be the photographer on the memorable day. Here is a couple of the picture I took.

A big flood in the area where I live...

Hi,

Since the last time wrote here we have had a lot of rain in the area where I live. And it resulted in a flood. It`s damages for over 100 million NOK kroner. In the little town Fåvang where I live, many companies has there buildings under water. And the artificial soccer field for many millions is also covered with the wather that is coming down the valley.
